Patched, textured and painted to match, so you cannot tell where the damage was. Most of the houses we work in around Atlanta have a knockdown ceiling and a flat wall, and matching the two is the part that separates a repair from a patch.

Six Drywall Calls We Take Every Week

Doorknob holes, furniture damage, and failed patches from whoever tried it first. Cut back to solid board, floated wide enough that the light does not catch the edge, textured and painted so the wall reads as one surface again.

The bigger jobs: a whole wall, a room after a leak, a garage conversion that needs boarding and finishing. Basement finishing is the one we do most around Marietta and Roswell, where the daylight basements make the extra room worth having.

New board hung, taped and finished. Basements, garages, additions and the closet somebody framed and then ran out of weekend on.

The small ones. A doorknob, a shelf that moved, an old TV mount that left four anchors and a story. Fast, clean and matched to the wall it sits in.

Water stains, sagging board and the damage after a leak. The first thing we do is check whether it is still wet, because the ceiling is the one place where painting over the problem buys you a month and then comes back through the new paint.

Settlement cracks that keep coming back after every repaint. Georgia clay moves with the seasons and a crack that was only filled will open again by the next summer. Taped properly, it stays closed.

That is most of the job. Knockdown, orange peel and stomp all get matched before anything gets painted, because a patch that is the right color and the wrong texture is the one you notice from the sofa every night for the next ten years.
No. First we check whether it is still wet, because painting over an active leak buys you about a month and then the same stain comes back bigger. If it is dry, the bad section comes out, gets patched, textured to match and sealed so it does not bleed through the new paint.
A doorknob hole in a flat wall is one visit. Anything that needs primer to cure before the finish coat is two, and we would rather come back than hand you a patch that flashes in the afternoon light. You know which one it is before we start.
We paint. A patch that is textured but not painted is still a visible patch, so it is not finished work. If the wall colour was mixed years ago and you do not have the can, we match it on site or paint corner to corner so there is no halo.
