A stain on the ceiling, a water bill that jumped for no reason, a wall that feels damp at the baseboard. Before anyone opens anything up, we find where the water is actually coming from. In the older houses around Decatur and Brookhaven it is often nowhere near where the stain shows up.
Burst, frozen or leaking supply lines. Atlanta gets two or three hard freezes a winter and that is when these calls come in all at once, usually from crawlspaces and unheated garages. Every hour it runs it is doing damage somewhere you cannot see, so it goes to the front of the schedule.
Humming but not turning, leaking at the seal, or dead with the reset button doing nothing. Most disposal calls are one visit. The truck carries the sizes that fit the standard sinks in metro Atlanta kitchens, so it usually does not become a second appointment.
Running, rocking, leaking at the base, or flushing weakly. A toilet that runs at night is the single most common call we take, and it is a fifteen minute fix that a lot of people live with for a year because a plumbing company would not come out for it.
A faucet that drips overnight is a fifteen minute job and a stained basin if you leave it. Kitchen, bathroom, laundry and the outdoor spigots that split after a freeze, which in this part of Georgia is most of them by February.
No hot water at the shower, a handle that spins without doing anything, or a valve dripping behind the wall. We open the minimum we have to, and in a tiled bathroom that matters more than anything else about the job.

If it is a re-pipe, a sewer line or anything behind a permit, you want a licensed plumbing contractor and we will tell you so. Running toilets, leaking faucets, garbage disposals, shut-off valves and supply lines under a sink are ours. That is most of what actually goes wrong in a house, and it is the work the big plumbing companies do not want.
If water is actively running and you cannot shut it off, that goes to the front of the schedule the same day. A slow drip under a sink or a toilet that runs at night can wait a day or two without doing damage. Describe what you are seeing on the call and we will tell you honestly which one you have.
Most of the time, yes. The truck carries the parts that fail most often in metro Atlanta houses: fill valves, flappers, supply lines, P-traps, shut-offs and the common disposal sizes. When something needs a part we do not stock, you know that on the phone, not after we are already there.
Then we open the smallest hole that lets us reach it, fix the line, and patch and texture the wall back before we leave. That last part is why people call us instead of a plumber for this: a plumbing crew will find the leak and hand you a hole.
